It’s easy to slip into a gruelling cycle of term-time survival, where your tank hits empty just as the summer holidays begin. When we are running on fumes, our nervous systems become highly reactive, turning daily family life into a battleground of defiance, anger, and control. But behaviour is simply the tip of the iceberg - a physical communication of an underlying, unmet need. This summer, you don't have to keep running on survival mode.

Working with parents in a professional capacity is an amazing job to do. We absolutely love it but It can feel a little lonely at times though, particularly if you work by yourself.
With this in mind we’ve created the Connective Family Professionals' Network. You don’t need to be an Connective Parenting NVR Practitioner to be part of it but the support advice provided will be based on these principles.
The network will provide you with a safe space to get support and help, as well as learn. It will also give the opportunity to meet others, create collaborations and share your knowledge.
If you’ve completed practitioner training then it will provide you with ongoing support.
Working with parents in a professional capacity is an amazing job to do. We absolutely love it but It can feel a little lonely at times though, particularly if you work by yourself.
With this in mind …
The training will take place online.
Over the 3 days, we look at the principles of NVR and how and why they work.
The NVR approach is different to ‘traditional’ parenting and is increasingly popular.
It helps empower parents to resist and reduce challenging behaviours.
It is however, not just for ‘challenging’ teenagers, and provides a positive, connective way of parenting for all parents irrespective of the age of the child.
During the course we look at how parents can:
Raise their presence and increase their connection with their child.
Create a strong support network around their family.
Resist challenging behaviours.
De-escalate escalating situations
The training will take place online.
